FDC SeaTac also known as SeaTac Federal Detention Center is a federal jail located at 2425 S 200th St, Seattle, WA 98198 and is operated by the Western Regional Office of the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP), a division of the U.S. Department of Justice. FDC SeaTac houses approximately 600 male & female federal inmates, pretrial detainees and probation violators charged with Federal Crimes in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington going the trial process or awaiting sentencing, or been denied bail by a Federal Judge and been deemed a flight risk or threat to the community.

Housing units normally have 4 telephones for inmate use. Inmates are allowed a maximum of 300 minutes per month January thru October, and 400 minutes in November and December. Calls are limited to 15 minutes per call. The regular cost of an inmate calls is 21 cents per minute with a 15 call costing $3.15.

Inmates can receive funds at a BOP-managed facility, which are deposited into their commissary accounts. You can send an inmate funds electronically using Western Union’s Quick Collect Program. Funds are received and processed seven days per week, including holidays. Funds sent between 7:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. EST are posted within 2-4 hours.

FDC SeaTac inmates are not allowed to receive packages without prior written approval from the institution. Inmates may receive magazines, hard and paperback books directly from the publisher. Staff and contract chaplains provide for inmate religious services for Jewish, Christian and Muslim faiths on Sundays and religious holidays. Medical and psychological health care is provided BOP medical staff, U.S. Public Health Services Officers and outside contract physicians.
All FDC Miami inmates in general population are able to purchase items in the commissary and have a monthly spending limit of $320

The Federal Public Defender works to ensure the Sixth Amendment right to effective assistance of counsel and equal access to justice in federal court. Offices in Seattle and Tacoma provide wide ranging representation for financially qualified individuals whenever a liberty interest is threatened.
The Seattle Main Office of the Federal Public Defender is located at Westlake Center Office Tower, 1601 Fifth Avenue, Suite 700, Seattle. The Tacoma Branch is located in the Sound Credit Union Building, 1331 Broadway Plaza, Suite 400, Tacoma.
U.S. District Court Western District Washington
The United States District Court for the Western District of Washington has 2 Federal Courthouses one in Seattle and one in Tacoma that hold criminal and civil judicial proceeding for federal cases that originated in the following 20 Washington state counties:
Washington: Clallam, Clark, Cowlitz, Grays Harbor, Island, Jefferson, King, Kitsap, Lewis, Mason, Pacific, Pierce, San Juan, Skagit, Skamania, Snohomish, Thurston, Wahkiakum, and Whatcom
The Courthouses are open Monday thru Friday from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM and closed on weekends and federal holidays.
